You should be able to make both sides meet at your wrist. If you have to stretch it add an additional row or two (for smaller sizes reduce a row or two) until both sides meet. Sewing the starting chain’s edge with the back loops (3). Just use a simple whip stitch and make sure to go through both loops of the starting chain. You can also try to go through part of the post along the back side just below the loop you should be able to see it here in the photo (it kind of looks like I have two loops picked up at the top of my needle, just make sure you don’t pick up loop 1 or 2). If you are worried about it being misaligned used stitch makers to pin both sides together all the way down about an inch and a half apart. Fasten off and hide tail back into your work. To attach the strap put on glove and set the strap on top just below the bone on your wrist. I pinned mine in place while wearing, it is tricky and you could possibly stick yourself with a pin unless you’re used to sewing. If needed use a washable sewing marker/chalk to mark where you need to sew it.or ask someone to help with the pinning. Attach either using a slip stitch or a back stitch. Bottom Edge of Gloves: Sc all the way around rough edge, about (33 sts) sl st into 1st sc. Fasten off and hide tail back into your work. Top Edge of Gloves: Rnd 1: Sc all the way around rough edge, about (26 to 30 sts depending on if a tight or looser fit is desired), sl st into 1st, Rnd 2: ch 1. Sc all the way around but in back look of previous row. Sl st in 1st sc and fasten off. Thumb Rnd 1: Sc in each sts around at the top and bottom edge you can either sc in two places or one. (16 to 18 sts). Sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1 Rnd 2: (working in BL) sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts, dc2tog. Sl st in 1st sc. Ch 1 Rnd 3: (working in BL) sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog, sc, sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, dc in next 2 sp, sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off and weave tail into work. The Printable pattern does have addition pictures and tips. ![]()

AuthorI am a no nonsense kind of blogger. I hate pages filled with ads/pop-ups, and just a bunch of filler. I learned to crochet when I was about eight or nine by my grandmother. She was a tough teacher, if there were any mistakes she would rip the project out until she reached a spot she was happy with. Unfortunately I was engrained with that teaching style of perfection so it takes me a while to create patterns. If it's not perfect I am not posting it, unless I am looking for feedback which I turn to the lovely Facebook crochet groups for assistance. I have some patterns listed for free, they are untested so you may run into some questions which is fine feel free to reach out to me with any of those questions. Other than that I hope you enjoy my simple blog of fiberart. ArchivesCategories
